Widely-respected Nigerian music producer, Sarz, is most known for his prowess at putting Africa on to her next rated superstars, with Lojay, Flash, WurlD, P.Priime, Tempoe and a host of others as proof.
Yet again, the latest beneficiaries of his The Sarz Academy are set to release a compilation project in July titled Memories That Last Forever 2. These are our major highlights as we anticipate its release.
1. The Sarz Academy Session Itself
We were privileged to attend some of its previous lecture sessions and interact with the students. Their talents are mind blowing and we don’t need a soothsayer to help us see how much of superstars they were made to be.
2. The first set of talents unveil
With the release of their first single off MTLF 2 “Jam One Kele”, we got introduced to Gimba, MillyMay_pod and Fxrtune – three incredible artistes. We also got to know OddWave, Bomboclat and Twitchpapii who are the magic fingers behind its production.
3. Release of ‘Good To Me’ and ‘Body Wicked’
As a follow up to Jam One Kele and a build up to MTLF 2, their latest releases are two resplendent songs with instant mood-lifting effects. ‘Good To Me’ by Perfext & Gimba is an inspiring Amapiano jam, and MillyMay_pod shines so brightly with sultry and sexiness on ‘Body Wicked’.
4. The spotlight on producers
Artistes mostly easily get the recognition they deserve, but fewer producers are often given their flowers. This is not the case with The Sarz Academy and the anticipation compilation. The producers have been consistently intentionally put on with every release and it’s indeed beautiful to see.
5. Its Art Direction
With every release building up to the compilation so far, the artworks have been 100/100 by our rating! They perfectly tell the story of each record and blend very lucidly with the album’s art cover. We really cannot wait to experience MTLF 2 and we are sure you can’t either!

Itty can be caught studying African pop culture, writing about it or hosting a relationship podcast. When he's not doing any of these, then he's definitely at a bar, getting mocktail.
