Shoes are core components of fashion and style. Asides the comfort they give, they move your fashion game a step further. Like any other fashion item, we tend to repeat our favorite shoes and not let go of them, even when it feels like we have outgrown them or when they show evident signs of wear and tear.
We asked our people how old their oldest shoe was, and we had some interesting replies. Grab your kunu and enjoy!

My oldest shoe is three years old and it is an AirForce 1s I stole from a friend. Till today, he thinks he forgot it at a hotel room in Abuja.

My oldest pair of shoes has to be my pink crocs. It has served me better than PHCN has served Nigeria electricity. The pair of crocs was a gift from my aunty and my first crocs ever. I style it with everything; from casual wear, to church wear and even to market runs, she’s my reliable babe.

My oldest shoe is about 12 months old. I am sure if it could speak, it would curse me. I wore that shoe to any and every event. Church? Yes. Work? absolutely. Hangout? sure as hell. I only recently stopped wearing it because it was no longer in good shape. I hope it comes back to me in the form of another shoe.

My oldest shoe is this particular shoe I literally wear every time because of how comfortable it feels. It’s a pair of cute loafers which ordinarily I am not surprised I wear constantly because of my sentimental love for it. Interestingly I wore it today and will continue to do so for as long as I can.

I got my oldest pair of shoes around 2 or 3 years back. It is of D&G make and I used it for graduation. The shoe was sleek and I was on some rich kid vibe. I only wore it on occasions that required formal dressing but now, I rarely use it because it’s no longer as hard as it used to be.
