Music artiste, King Cruff, is changing the game with his art and contributing immensely to the Canadian music scene, under the flagship of Universal Music Canada. He tells us about his biggest music inspirations and in no particular order.
- Chronixx
There was a point in time when people felt like reggae was taking a back seat and people weren’t appreciating it as much as they used to, but I have memories of Chronixx bringing back that fire and buzz around the genre. People call it the reggae revival.
- Stephen Marley
I basically grew up on his music. He was one of the first artists that challenged what reggae music was supposed to be like. His ‘Mind Control’ album is one of the best reggae albums ever made. Big inspiration!
- Andre3000
This is more on the rap side. He is a very big inspiration. His genre-bending, lyricism and everything about him, I appreciate.
- Kendrick Lamar
I love his music, his projects, and I sort of always relate to the stories he tells. I resonate with many of them.
- Childish Gambino
His ideas are peculiar and they spark something in me to always think outside the box.

Itty can be caught studying African pop culture, writing about it or hosting a relationship podcast. When he's not doing any of these, then he's definitely at a bar, getting mocktail.
