Neo R&B artist Jey Oh returns to release an ethereal single titled Eternal Memory. The Nigerian-born and Calgary-based vocalist releases a smooth R&B track that encapsulates his mindset when navigating love and his self-worth. Eternal Memory is the first single from L.Y.F.E (Lost Yesterday Found Eternity), a YYC Collaborative project executive produced by ChefBeatz and 3rd Verse Records. It is set to release Friday, July 7th.
The 2021 Calgary YYC Music Award nominee is making his comeback after a life-altering injury, and two-year hiatus of mental, spiritual and physical healing. While dealing with the global pandemic, the singer also had to handle the stress and disruption of his physical and mental
state. An unknown and undiagnosed injury began affecting Jey Oh’s legs, making it difficult to walk and complete daily tasks.
This caused the melodic singer to rethink and reframe his mindset and how he views himself. This transformation of mindset reinvigorated and bolstered his relationship with God which helped immensely with his mental and physical health.
Due to this experience, he aims to share the psychological impacts of one’s self-thoughts through his music and inspire many along the way. Eternal Memory is about being in harmony with a soulmate. For Jey Oh, he had to seek out peace and self-love within himself before venturing out to find his soulmate.
“I view this project as a launchpad to deliver high-quality fusion-style music to our audiences. Our aim is to captivate, entertain, and nurture a deeper sense of connection and elevation as listeners navigate their daily experiences. “ – Jey Oh.
This single is part of a 10-track collaboration album spearheaded by 3rd Verse Records, a Calgary-based label and recording studio. L.Y.F.E., the Afrobeat, Hip-Hop and R&B inspired album is created to represent and bring the community together through music. Jey Oh is also expected to release his debut solo album early 2024.
