LA-based Nigerian artist Marllie takes us on an interesting journey with his latest visual, “Lifestyle” which is part of his earlier released two-pack drop called “Nouvelle”, meaning “a short tale”.
In this release, Marllie effortlessly weaves a vivid narrative about an enchanting encounter with a love interest. “Lifestyle” delves into the transformative power this special person has had on Marllie’s life, while “Monalisa”, the second track off Nouvelle explores her priceless qualities, drawing parallel to the renowned painting.
Marllie’s music is a beautiful fusion of genres, inspired by his multicultural background, blending elements of Hip Hop, Afro Pop, and Highlife. His talent has earned him recognition from industry heavyweights like M.I. Abaga and opportunities like opening for Rema during the LA show of his American tour. He has also graced the stages like the Amplified Africa Annual celebration alongside Phyno. The ‘Lifestyle’ video captures the essence of Marllie’s narrative against the stunning backdrop of Venice Beach.
