Music Business Academy for Africa (MBAFA) is proud to announce the release of its latest collaborative project, “Pepple Street,” an album that transcends borders and unites diverse musical talents from across the African continent.
The album title is inspired by the iconic life of Fela Kuti, who once called Pepple Street home, this 16-track masterpiece weaves a tapestry of stories, blending sounds and voices from different corners of the great continent of Africa.
The music itself is a fusion of traditional African rhythms and contemporary sounds, blending elements of hip-hop, R&B, and Afrobeats. Each track tells a story, from the upbeat anthems of empowerment to the introspective ballads of love and loss.
This album consists of endearing melodies, inspiring lyrics and outstanding vocal delivery by 9 artists (Kvng Vidarr, Rozzz, Dela, Wendy Kay, Diyo Matalo, Tamate, Wondy, Jenz Williams, Jordan Styls) from Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya respectively. It was created in collaboration with the amazing minds of 383 members of the current MBA cohort who were split into labels for the smooth running of operations on the business side for each artist.
With its powerful narrative and infectious beats, “Pepple Street” will captivate listeners and leave a lasting impression.

Itty can be caught studying African pop culture, writing about it or hosting a relationship podcast. When he's not doing any of these, then he's definitely at a bar, getting mocktail.
